This is Danielle, who has collected quite a few bags over the years. And she is certainly not done collecting. To start with, all the bags from Chanel are still on her wish list. How many bags do you have?

‘Coincidentally, I moved this weekend and while packing, I was shocked by the number of bags. I think I counted around 30. I have collected quite a few over the years, but I have now said goodbye to some and made others happy with them.’

How do you handle your bag?

‘Unfortunately not so good. In that sense, I am really not worth an expensive bag, because when I am at home, I throw it in a corner and when I sit on the terrace, I just put it on the ground.‘

What about the content?

‘This happens to be a small bag, but normally I always carry a very large shopper because I really throw everything in it and I am afraid I will miss something, haha.’

What do you always have with you?

‘Two perfumes, the body mist from Chanel and Philosykos from Diptyque (available at Skins) because I really enjoy smelling nice. Furthermore, my iPhone and Chanel Les Beiges. Always nice to touch up my makeup in the middle of the day. I am addicted to the lip balm from Clarins, so I have that with me too. You have to protect your face well against daylight and sun, that’s why I always have factor 50 from Clarins in my bag. Oh yes, I also have a brush with me. As long as your hair looks good!’

What do you think are the best features of a bag?

‘Of course, it is super important that it looks nice, but a practical bag is also not a luxury. Since I always take a lot with me, I find the size and layout of a bag very important. If I have a small nice bag with me, I always take a plastic bag for the rest of my stuff, how bad!‘

Which one is still on your wishlist?

‘The Chloé Hudson Small in off-white. It is really perfect for summer and all the festivals. But all the bags from Chanel can also come through, I find them all fantastic!’
