My life in a bag

It's Tuesday again and that means it's time for a beautiful bag. Today it's Rianne's turn. Curious about the story behind this somewhat fallen-apart bag? And how the contents of her bag are doing? Read along quickly!

How many bags do you have?

‘Not very much. I love to use one bag for a longer period of time. I currently have three in my room.’

What is the story behind this bag?

‘I've had this bag for two years now. I got it from my mother and have used it almost daily since then. It used to be much prettier and there was a braided belt around it. But because I use it so much, it has now fallen apart a bit. I actually like that.‘

How do you handle your bag?

‘To be completely honest, not too well, haha. My bag is my bag, and it goes everywhere with me. I'm that girl who even has her bag with her in the club, so my bags go through quite a lot. From a big man accidentally sitting on it in the tram to a glass of vodka spilling over it. It's all happened at some point.’

What about the content?

‘The contents are often the same. I once had a moment where after a few days I thought: wow, my bag smells. Until I found out there was a rotten banana at the bottom. Completely black. That wasn't really great. Other than that, I'm very tidy.’

What do you always have with you?

‘Standard my house keys and my wallet. Also a pair of sunglasses, Labello, and a bottle of water. And if I'm going to do something fun, I always make sure to have a few makeup items with me that fit easily in the side pocket of my bag, like a concealer and a lip liner.’

What do you think are the best features of a bag?

‘Of course that it's big enough to fit everything in! And it often completes your outfit. It can give your outfit that one boost it was missing.’

Which one is still on your wishlist?

‘A vintage Louis Vuitton seems really great to me. Preferably one that is already nicely used and worn. Love it!’
