MONDAY IS THE ‘INCOME DAY’, BUT NOT ANYMORE

On Monday, it's always a bit of a transition. At least, that's how I feel. During the first part of the day, I'm still stuck in the weekend (and how lovely that was) and then the 4 o'clock slump starts to kick in. It's a shame really, because a new week is actually very nice. New week: new round, new opportunities, let's just say. Especially if you've indulged a bit too much over the weekend or completely went overboard with some grand desserts, it's really nice to start a new week again. After all, Monday is always a start day and there's no other day in the week like it. To make that Monday super fun, I’ll give you a few tips.

  • Start with exercising. Starting the day with a workout (doesn't have to be every day) already gives you a huge boost in the right direction. Especially on Monday, exercising is a nice start to the week. Make plans with someone to go together, that way you minimize the risk of being a no-show.
  • Treat yourself to a smoothie out instead of having one at home. You'll probably pass by a juice bar on the way. This way, you start the week super healthy and it's also made for you.
  • Try not to schedule a huge shit task on Monday. Save that for Tuesday, because by then you'll be much more into the week. Monday should be extra fun.
  • Be kind to yourself. Make your workspace cozy, brew a cup of coffee or tea, play some light music (if that's allowed) and you can get to work.
  • Wear something nice. It makes you feel better, and you're also more likely to receive compliments. And who doesn't feel happy about that?
  • Plan something fun with friends in the evening. And boom, the first day of the week is already over. It wasn't that bad, was it?
