Those Ibiza things

In Ibiza, everyone who is someone, was, wants to be, or likes to observe one of these three types in the wild comes. From great creatives to David Guetta, Doutzen Kroes, and Marga Bult*. Although I read about the latter (on Blendle, you know, on Blendle) that she escapes Ibiza during the summer months due to the crowds. Well, I can tell you, we are totally fine with that, Marga. Please don't feel guilty about it.

Even if you are (like us here) in your little house on top of the mountain and are abandoned by God and everyone, you can dance around in your birthday suit (I don't do that, you know my ideas about naked people) without anyone taking offense, you still know that there is a steaming party going on five kilometers away somewhere with top models, designers, and the best DJs in the world. That's nice, isn't it?.

Yesterday we had something to eat in Santa Gertrudis, the village where all the permanent foreign residents prefer to settle. I saw John Ewbank with his fiancée hanging out at a terrace, but other than that, especially before the high season, it was quite calm. Anyway, we ordered a Mojito and an old-fashioned gin and tonic, chatted a bit about life, and I took some photos for you, because this was a very photogenic spot.

The waitress asked me why I was taking those beautiful photos, so I told her about Amayzine. “But I know you from other things too?” she asked me. Now you should know that this question in 99 out of 100 cases is the prelude to an extremely awkward situation. And yes, here we go again.

“Uh, maybe you watched Holland's Next Top Model? I was a jury member on that show.” I looked away a bit. “And I also appeared on RTL Boulevard sometimes,” I continued.

“That could very well be,” the girl replied. “There are so many strange people walking around on the island. I can't keep up with it all anymore.”

*For our readers under forty: Marga Bult was once one of the three women from the group Luv’ who danced synchronously in somewhat tight outfits while singing. I'm sure she's a really nice woman, nothing wrong with that.
