On the water, everything is more fun

When I step onto the boat with one leg, I feel extra free. Look, I feel that way too when I hang out on the couch for an evening, but this is a different kind of free. when I hang on the couch, but this is a different kind of free. And I now know what it is, everything is more fun on the water.

So you live on a freakin’ island for twenty years and your family is from the inland shipping industry, and you haven't made a mile on the water. But anyway, whether I wanted to go with (not yet) my boyfriend, because his sailing competition was canceled. It was too windy. You should never do that, but I did. It was wind force eight and my hair looked like someone had teased it all day after the trip. And what do you think? I've changed my mind. Well, until a wind force five then.

My knee hit the wooden edge of the hatch a hundred thousand times during the first vacation on board and was the deepest dark blue. There was a huge bump on my forehead because I walked into the lamp switch. But hey, I also learned that you have to move in slow motion on ten by three meters. Doing this or that quickly doesn't work with two people on a few meters of floor, and that makes you very mañana and relaxed.

”But in the absence of the dishwasher and the TV, you grab that dish towel and you have a cozy situation”

When the water comes from the sky, you crawl under a self-pitched tent with a white wine. It's not so fun when you have to run 500 meters to a toilet building for number one or two (nobody said it was going to be romantic). Actually, this part is camping, even though everyone talks about it like it's nothing. But in the absence of the dishwasher and the TV, you grab that dish towel and you have a cozy situation. And then you do get a chance for romance and hours of chatting.

On board, everything is called differently. The bag with snacks and white Vedett is ready on the couch on the starboard side (that's the r for right), you sleep in the aft cabin, and I bump my head against the boom. And if something is called or sounds different than at home, well then it's vacation. Right?

But then the sun sets, the water is mirror smooth, I finally stop talking, and you just stare ahead, and then you really get it. The most wonderful thing about being on the water is that it is so incredibly beautiful and quiet. If you're looking for me, I'm sailing.
