Onze Meisje in New York

What our dear Bo is up to this week? You can read about it here!

On the agenda was lunch with Noortje. We saw each other for the first time when she went home with the Best Lifestyle Blog Award from Bloglovin’ in New York. After that, we became Instagram friends (we like all each other's photos) and finally met up in person again. That is now. I heavily disheveled from the heat, she always beautiful with the whole family. Baby Olivia is napping in the sun, I’m having wine, dad Sander is having the aptly named ‘papa cocktail’ and Noor is still on a decaf coffee. And we all (except baby Ollie) think the Standard Lower East Burger is amazing. It was so cozy, and on the way back I realized that ‘clicking’ online also means ‘clicking’ offline. It’s strange how that works. But it’s definitely fun. It was a party and you understand: this pink house made our blogger hearts beat intensely.

For lunch in the Lower East, I was at the Dolls of DASH in Soho. DASH is from the Kardashian sisters and despite the fact that I am really a fan of the whole family, I had never been inside DASH. Until now. There was breakfast, there were bikinis with huge discounts and the founders of Pin & Tucker were there to consult us and tell us about social media and shopping. I listened attentively, made a comment here and there, spotted a swimsuit (we can never have enough swim gear, right?) and kept a close eye on that mysteriously looking door. I mean, it could just be that the Kardashian sisters including the whole reality soap crew suddenly come barging in, right?! The morning passed and apart from the large photos of the posing ladies and Kanye's music, there was little Kardashian in the wild to be seen. I did walk out with Pin & Tucker enthusiasm, gifts AND that new swimsuit…

Hiking with my laptop in Soho after a day of work, I stumble upon a bike. And hereby a message to anyone who might be planning to give me a gift for my birthday: I know it’s early, because my birthday is in October, but if you are already thinking about what to give me, I want to let you know that I really miss a bike. Maybe not one like this, but more the ‘grandma’ model. With a basket, because Blue can fit in there. A nice idea, don’t you think?

At the ferry, I’m waiting for mom and friend N. And there she is, with baby James who is five weeks old and still as handsome and cheerful as ever. We’re going to Greenpoint because it’s quiet there and we can chat for hours about the baby, the delivery, and the wedding. I find it completely zen here at Maman, where the tables are swings and the coffee is delicious.

My new cat-eyes are from Karen Walker. I need to take a lot of photos when we are having breakfast at To the question of which category I belong? Uhm… I'll get back to that. One thing I do know: after two bottles of wine, I am always a, because I got these from DITTO. Actually borrowed, because that’s how it works at DITTO. You pay a monthly amount of 24 dollars and then you can borrow a pair of glasses from the amazing collection (from Miu Miu to Dior to Ray-Ban), which you can then exchange for another pair whenever you want. An amazing concept that I love to participate in. After picture 430, it’s on. And then we can enjoy breakfast on the terrace at one of the nicest spots in Greenwich.

Since I haven’t been to the gym for at least a month after my vacation in France, the measure according to Darcy is full. I can’t cancel him anymore and since then we are not just going once, but even twice to the park to work out. Me drenched in sweat, he like a true drill king. Again this week, with the element of boxing added to the program. Here’s the proof. Bending down still doesn’t go smoothly, but that’s nothing new. Because yes, who wants to be beautiful, must… exactly, yes.

Blue doesn’t like the combing, blowing, and fiddling with his fur. But he lets it happen every month because he knows that as a doodle there’s no escaping this. I also have sweat on my forehead, but the result is lovely. Look at our Prince Poof sitting…
