Our Bo had another lovely week in New York. Are you reading along?

Blue wants to sleep. A lot of sleep. And preferably in our bed. That's allowed. But only in the morning. And this week it was secretly allowed a bit more than usual, because my 2016 kicks off with the annual flu. At least, I started with coughing and wheezing. I immediately threw in kilos of kiwis and a two-day stay-at-home regime against it. It worked. The real flu never hit, but it was a very calm week. Especially a lot of cuddling with our woolly child and lying under soft blankets.

Especially for New Year's Eve, I wanted a photo with confetti. You know, one of those shots where a rain of golden stars falls down super spontaneously. We had to do it three hundred eighty-five times. The result? A super unposed-not-thought-out photo and our whole house sprinkled with stars. Oh well, it should be fine on the last day of the year.

Found it in the archive. The 00:00 kiss! Ahhh...

As you may have read, I don't make New Year's resolutions to avoid disappointment. What I do is enjoy the New Year's holiday. Much better. Right at the start of the new year, plan a week where you can eat anything, don't exercise, and drink a lot of Malibu pineapple cocktails with a little umbrella in the glass. This year we're going to Vieques, an island near Puerto Rico. It is said to be paradise-like, with one of the brightest Bio Bays in the world. You know, that glowing water like in Life of Pi? That, but on Vieques. I can't wait.

On Friday morning, I got up at 6:00 AM to go to the office with my husband again. Right in the middle of Bryant Park, our paths diverge. He turns right, I turn left. Off to coffee at Le Pain (and a hundred million to-dos). But before we say goodbye, he quickly takes a photo, because the sun is so beautiful this morning. That had to be captured.

Peonies at Whole Foods. What a beauty.

While Blue will probably remain in hibernation mode, I will be back to being healthily active next week. Have a wonderful week!
