onze meid in New York
What our dear Bo is up to this week? You can read about it here!
Walking past my favorite flower stall, I just walk into Barneys again. Under the motto “looking looking not buying,” I add to my imaginary wish list all that heavenly stuff to be found in this new location in Chelsea. The futuristic whole remains a picture and I refuse to turn over the price tags. Let's keep the dream alive. So with blinders on and without a matching credit card, my friend M and I stroll through this spaceship. All the Barneys white inspires. So upon returning home, I do my new jacket on. Crispy white, as they call it here, and so Barneys feels a bit within reach.
Coffee at Morandi’s and a weekend with once again many clinking glasses. When my two girlfriends leave and the guest sheets are still warm from the dryer, a new guest stands at the door. With 500 kilos of luggage and bouncing with hysteria that she is finally back in New York: yessss, friend M is here! And actually, we do the same as the weekend before. Well, we discovered a new ‘it-spot’: VANDAL. A restaurant and a super trendy club, which you enter through a revealing flower shop… Look, and we always love a bit of that mystery.
Posing with flowers. Yes. The obsession is still there. But honestly, this staircase is a dream, right? To be found in West Village, for those looking for a flower Instagram moment.
On Monday and in the highest split, I race to SoHo. Paintbox and Julie Vos have joined forces and are organizing a small breakfast party. Once arrived, we get to choose new nails and jewelry. Always nice, such a start to the week.
The sun sets and a string ensemble has taken place on our rooftop terrace. The building we live in organizes events for its tenants a few times a month. One time it’s wine tasting, another time it’s a breakfast with freshly baked pancakes, and today it’s a barbecue with these guys. I consider myself a lucky person while listening to the violin version of “Wonderful World” and taking a bite of my hamburger.
My friends from The Outnet send me a gift! After a load of clothes, they thought it was time for shoes. Yessssssss, you are my besties, The Outnet!
Sun hat and striped cloth. The only thing I’m going to need this weekend, because we’re going to The Hamptons! Oh, a bikini must of course come along. But I’ll show you that next week. Have a lovely day. Love!
