Fun & Famous

OUR PARTY IN THE BIJENKORF

Whether we wanted to do ‘something fun’ in the Bijenkorf. They had a new pop-up store with party dresses, their beautiful window display, champagne, and macarons. So we were asked to bring some famous girlfriends.

That was a no-brainer. We made an invite, asked if our favorites wanted to choose a party dress with us, filled the glasses and voilà: the festive season was officially opened.

Lizzy van der Ligt, Yara Michels, Liza Chloë van Duyn, Rosanna Gentenaar, Claire Cliteur, Toprak Yalçiner, Lieke van Lexmond, Nicole Huisman, Sabrina Meijer, and our own Carolien Spoor each got to join me in the Bijenkorf's window display.

“the festive season was officially opened.”

Shoes off and touch as little as possible was the command. But we could choose a dress and in the meantime, take photos and be photographed, because then you know you exist. Meanwhile, we drank something and spoke briefly. No in-depth discussions about the state of affairs here, and even the American elections felt very far away for a moment. It was mainly about what size, should I go for the red or the black-and-white, isn't a suit also incredibly cool, and which one are you taking? And at times, that's the most delightful conversation there is.

And how wonderful is it to be able to stroll through the late hours in the Bijenkorf? Escalator up, escalator down, sniffing at the designer gear, feeling the wool of Filippa K, but mainly just looking at the amazing and original party dresses that are on display in the pop-up store. Maje, Self-Portrait, Scotch & Soda, Ted Baker… I would say: go there and you will definitely be the most beautiful at the (Christmas) ball. They are open every day until eight o'clock and on Thursday and Friday even until nine...
