GET FIT ON YOUR HOLIDAY

Here's what's in your suitcase

Most women already calculate themselves to be five kilos heavier upon returning from vacation. So it can only be a pleasant surprise. That's fine of course, but it doesn't have to be. It's logical that during your free weeks you exercise a bit less and order the tastiest spaghetti from the menu every day. That's what vacation is for, but there are also small activities that make you feel a bit less disappointed by the scale after three weeks in Spain. I'll give you a few tips and believe me, you'll be glad you did.

Swim away

Pool or sea, it doesn't matter. Every day a quick 15 minutes of freestyle (make sure it's fast) is great for your body and really a workout. And you'll also get a nice tan in the water.

Put on your sneakers

I always pack running shoes in my suitcase. With a morning run around the island or through the city, you immediately get a bit of culture. You can then relax on your bed in the afternoon. And: getting up early isn't bad, because you have the whole day to sleep.

”Hello, a full-body workout in 7 minutes”

Jump

Roll up a jump rope, stuff it in your bag, and start the first day with 100 jumps. And every day you do 100 more. Make it a challenge for yourself or do it together with someone. It only takes a few minutes of your day, but you'll feel much better at lunch.

Open your app

12 exercises (which are very well described with pictures) that you do for 30 seconds each. You do the exercises quickly in succession, which really gets your heart rate up. You can also create schedules for yourself. All your activities are saved, just like your progress. That works very motivating. And hello, a full-body workout in 7 minutes. Okay, okay, I'm not saying you'll get ripped abs from this, but it's also a bit about the feeling, right?

Rent a board

For surfing, you definitely need to book a few lessons to be able to stand on that board for even a second. I understand if that's too much to ask (you would really have to be tough), but if you buy a nice bodyboard, you can enjoy floating in the waves. By the way, it can sometimes go really hard. Paddle back and go with the waves again. Seriously, you'll get sore muscles from this. Also for this: make sure to apply sunscreen on your back, because you'll become a champion at tanning.
