Give me your desk and I'll tell you who you are. Unless the company you work for has a clean desk policy, this saying holds true. Now, my desk isn't always as beautifully balanced as in the photo above, but the basic ingredients are always present.

Montblanc fountain pen (which by the way barely escaped death): check, the perfect cappuccino: check. The latter thanks to Simone who always knows exactly when I have an intense need for it. Something from makeup? Check. And of course always my Renault car key. It could very well stay in my bag, because Renault cars spontaneously unlock when the key is nearby, but a. there’s sometimes a colleague who borrows this lovely car for a spin and b. it matches so nicely with our white office. I don't think the chief designers of Renault thought about our office when they designed the key, but it turns out we are a match made in heaven.
