THE COOLEST WORKOUT EVER

I was already an enormous fan of ROCYCLE (read here why). But now Rogier, the founder of ROCYCLE, has done something that has ruined me forever. At least when it comes to a spinning class. Last Saturday, I got back on one of those bikes, clicked my shoes into the pedals, took a sip of water, and was ready for a 45-minute excruciatingly sweaty workout (because man, you are going to sweat a lot here). But this time my little bike was not in the normal studio, but on the roof of the A'DAM Tower. You know, that gigantic building by the IJ that also has the most beautiful viewpoint of the city.

Drake (I am a huge Drake fan) pumped from the speakers, it was eight o'clock in the evening, it was warm, and the sun was slowly disappearing behind the horizon. The adrenaline was coursing through my body. I looked at the neighborhood where I grew up, I looked at Amsterdam Central, saw dozens of little boats on the IJ, and I saw flickering and thumping from a festival somewhere in Amsterdam North. Apparently, I was in the same mood as those dancing people because I could have cycled for another thousand hours. Only I didn't have a hangover the next day. On the contrary. Energy for ten!
