Preliminary research
First, take a look (even if you've probably done this in your life) at which model flatters you the most. Try on your old bikinis to see what looks good. If you don't have many, a halter model is a good idea because it lifts everything nicely. Strapless is really only beautiful if you have good shoulders.
With small breasts
The good news is that you can wear a lot. Strapless, triangle, and halter are all fine. You can opt for a little padding, and a print can also make them look bigger.
Large breasts
Choose something that completely covers your breasts. So not something that has a piece of breast spilling over your bikini. A triangle is really a no-go, and I wouldn't recommend a large print for that reason either. However, a strapless bra can also look very nice on fuller women. Don't buy it too small so it doesn't cut into your skin.
With wide hips
A bottom with ties on the sides breaks up the whole look. Again, don't tie the strings too tight.
With short legs
No bottoms with legs. Choose something high-cut so you can see plenty of leg.
Mix en match
You really don't have to have the same bottom as the top. You can also just buy a bottom and the top from something else. A bohemian top with a paisley print and a stripe print can work very well. Just choose something pronounced so people can see that you really meant it that way.
