what men find attractive in women according to scientific research
This week I read on Esquire.nl an article about which physical characteristics men find most attractive in women. There is a Dr. Midge Wilson from DePaul University (who doesn't know her) who researched what men are attracted to and concluded that they consciously or unconsciously are drawn to traits that align with good health and fertility.
Biologically, that seems logical to me, and not particularly groundbreaking. Essentially, we are here on earth to reproduce as effectively as possible and to pass on our own DNA, so it makes sense that we are programmed to be attracted to that as well. Well, you naturally want to know what those traits are, so here they come.
1. Good hips. A woman's hips are generally wider than a man's, and that is so the woman can carry and bear a child. So, the wider, the more fertile. Kimmie K eat your heart out.
2. A cheerful smile makes you attractive, so do that a lot and often.
3. Healthy hair also seems to be a sign of glowing health. And long and full is preferred too. So get to work with shiny shampoos and maybe a small tuft of fake hair on the left or right.
4. On Esquire there is a sentence that really makes me cringe: “a high voice represents youthfulness and men associate it with a small, feminine body. And let's just say we find that attractive.” A high voice then. Because it represents youthfulness. Ulgh men are so terrible actually.
5. Preferably wear little makeup. We already knew that, but it can't be said often enough.
I do want to say that you shouldn't care at all about what men do or do not find attractive. As long as you find yourself attractive. Thank you.
