SO MAY WAS GOING TO MEET KENDALL
And what are you wearing then?
When I this morning when I got up this morning - or actually I should say last night, because the alarm rang so ridiculously early - I was not very happy except for the fact that a. I was going to sniff out Kendall Jenner in the wild and b. that my package was ready.
Now you probably want to hear about chapter a. Meeting Kendall first. Why? I will tell you all about it. Kendall is the face of the Magnum Double ice creams. I will go into that another time, because they only have 250 calories (that about that half pack of butter is really a myth) and these Magnum Doubles have two layers of chocolate with a flavor of your choice in between. Like salted caramel. Yes, I’m just mentioning one option.
Anyway, Kendall is California and California is ice cream (and besides, you can imagine that Kendall actually eats a Magnum from time to time instead of just looking at it or being near it), so that choice was quickly made. Then there had to be a campaign that brought together the beauty of Kendall and the fashionable heart of Magnum, and then the dynamic duo Mert & Marcus was flown in.
“And because I’m not the worst and I also quite like to walk along the Croisette during the film festival, I said yes”
And so did I. To Cannes. And because I’m not the worst and I also quite like to walk along the Croisette during the film festival, I said yes. Now just a package. The dress code was Wild Glamour/Fierce Sophistication. So… You immediately know what to wear. Not. And I had exactly zero minutes to shop because okay, I had pushed it a bit ahead of me and then my schedule was fully booked with a shoot for a campaign for Renault.
The good news was that it was on the street of Pauw branch Heemstede. And that happens to be my favorite. So I called Charlotte (also my favorite because the best stylist you can imagine with the only downside that I want everything she shows…) and in between the recordings, I tiptoed in and skipped out again with a mountain of designer gear.
In the end, I chose this skirt from Pauw's own label for the day with a too soft sweater from Woolrich. A belt from Marni over it and a jacket from Odeeh for a slightly tougher effect. And those nice blue ankle boots are from Mayke. Favorite, favorite, favorite.
Now just hope that Kendall likes it.
