THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DUTCH CASTLES YOU CAN RENT ON AIRBNB

You probably know by now that I have a serious Airbnb addiction too. Even when I don’t want to go away, I at least want to know what the options are. In pretty much all price categories, yes. Then I sit quietly scrolling and suddenly I end up again at sick castles where you can sleep with sixteen people and I just have to look at all the photos. Are you joining me? It’s much more fun.

The castle in Alkmaar

Isn’t this just the cutest little castle you’ve ever seen? It’s simply called ‘The Castle’, which might be the best part. For this fairytale experience, you need to be in the heart of Alkmaar. The building (which gives me a total Efteling vibe, by the way) was designed in 1910 and is the most famous national monument in Alkmaar.

How much does it cost? 145 euros per night.

Castle Sterkenburg

Very dangerous this, just a 20-minute drive from my house in Utrecht. Maybe I should surprise my love with a weekend in this castle. To avoid misunderstandings: you don’t rent the whole castle here, but a room. Of course, with a private bathroom and all. Think of it as a hotel room, but a lot cooler.

How much does it cost? 164 euros per night.

Castle Vorden

Too much money? Want to have some fun with the whole family? Wedding? Feeling like a party with fourteen people? Then I suggest you inquire about this castle in the Achterhoek. I mean, we all want to immerse ourselves in the luxury castle world for a night. The castle has 5 large guest rooms (accessible via the medieval sandstone spiral staircase of 50 steps, I mean: that just sounds cool), a jacuzzi, multiple living rooms, a terrace, restaurant; oh, we want it all.

How much does it cost? Dude, what are we talking about, just 1299 euros per night!

Castle Baexem

Oh hello, a place from the 17th century. The only reason this is on the list is because I read something about ‘natural pool’ and botanical garden. I always find that really cool. And okay, also because there’s a design outlet just 7 minutes away. Just saying. Anyway, in this castle, you can crash with over 16 people, there are 7 bathrooms and god, I already see 15 Instagram-worthy corners. So, when are we going?

How much does it cost? 730 euros per night for the whole castle. If you only want to rent a room, that’s also possible for two people for 80 euros per night. Bargain.
