Good morning! I don't need to catch you up, as I'm assuming you all watched yesterday. With 2.7 million viewers, it was a historically well-watched battle. I was at a restaurant (Swych on Nieuwe Doelenstraat, highly recommended but more on that later), but this morning at a quarter past seven, we just acted as if it was Friday night. All to be able to talk about The Voice. In 9 points.

1. Where was Wendy

Where was Wendy? Was she suddenly on the elimination island or what? Where was she? And why did no one say anything about it?? Is that all just normal or something?

2. The outfits

Phew, finally Sanne's white T-shirt could go in the wash. And the rest of the outfits we could now only dream of too. And I found it an improvement for everyone. In fact, I think Sanne looks much better during rehearsals than in her stage clothes. But I'm nitpicking. I am. And Waylon, are his ‘nonchalantly draped scarves’ the new hat?

3. The jokes, the ratings

“It's nice to steal from a Moroccan for once.” Waylon five points (out of five, mind you).

“Jane is so old, she was in class with Anneke Grönloh.” Ali, also five points for you. With a bonus because you know who Anneke Grönloh is.

“Waylon can't choose with women. That problem has been following him his whole life.” Ali, I like you. And Waylon, I like you too.

4. The metaphor of the week

And it came, rapapa rapapa… from Guus. “You’re of course flying in at 200 kilometers per hour, but then you get flashed, so just stick to the speed limit.” Guus. Dude. Do you come up with these on the spot?

5. Do you think Anouk is sitting there eating herself up in front of the TV?

6. I suddenly realized that Katy Perry can really sing. No offense otherwise.

7. “Sanne, what did you think?” Was this a hidden, and very funny, joke from Martijn or did it just happen to him?

8. Jon Voight, your little hat. If you promise me that it will be your signature look from now on, I'm okay with it. Or if you tell me it was -3 in the studio...

9. And this was the sweetest. Romy who got to go through. Jane who got to go in the StealRoom and Waylon who is crying because he has to send two girls home.
