THE WORLD HAS GONE CRAZY

News from the women's channel TLC. They have a new show in the pipeline. A dating show called Undressed. Participants are looking for true love and do so in a bed, naked. That’s right: naked.

The candidates will lie in bed together in their bare bottoms and get to know each other in half an hour through personal videos, conversations, and tasks. Once all that is done, they have the choice to stay in bed together or to put their clothes back on and run away quickly. According to TLC, it is a “unique dating experiment in a time of swiping and screening,” according to the undersigned, it is yet another tasteless idiotic format.

What is wrong with just dating? Why does it have to be on TV? Why does it have to be NAKED? And what the heck do swiping and screening have to do with lying naked for a camera in a bed with a complete stranger? Really, I understand so little of it.

People are crazy and do everything to get their head (or butt) on TV. Or you could say they do everything to find true love, but come on, who seriously believes that you will find the love of your life with such a program? If such a person even exists, by the way.

Look, the fact that people are so crazy to lend themselves to this is of course maddeningly annoying, but the fact that such a channel can come up with these kinds of ideas I also find quite stupid. I will never understand what the point is of dating naked. There was also that show on RTL5 where two people dated naked on an island. Total madness.

Somewhere I hope that there will one day be an end to this genre of making TV, but given the fact that Idols has also been pulled out from under the dust again, I fear the worst. If you are really looking forward to this latest gem from TLC, Undressed will be on from Tuesday, May 3, to Tuesday, July 12, at 8:30 PM. And then do watch it naked in bed, okay.
