THESE BEAUTIFUL TWIN SISTERS DOMINATE ALL CATWALKS

With their long legs, they parade down the runway at Dolce & Gabanna, Missoni, and Gucci. It’s the daily job of these two cool Russian sisters. Lia and Odette Pavlova are the most sought-after models at the moment. Where did these two gorgeous chicks suddenly come from?

Lia Pavlova is slightly ‘bigger’ in the industry than her sister, but she is just starting to make her mark in modeling. She made her catwalk debut during the fall/winter 2015-1016 Gucci show, followed by Balenciaga, Céline, Christian Dior, Dries Van Noten, Elie Saab, Lanvin, Miu Miu, and Saint Laurent. The rest is history. The handy site Models.com made a overview of the models who have walked the most catwalk shows this year, and the Russian is proudly at number one with no less than 64 (!) shows. Good lord, that is REALLY a lot in such a short time. Oh yes, and she ‘opened’ two shows and ‘closed’ three. A bit of the holy grail in the fashion world, as only the best models get this prominent spot. Her sister Odette Pavlova follows closely behind with 54 shows.

Fortunately, it’s not just Russian ladies dominating the rankings. Quite a few beauties from the Netherlands are also doing quite well. People, we should be proud of our models. Marjan Jonkman, the always stunning Maartje Verhoef, Julie Hoomans, and namesake Kiki Willems are all just casually in the top ten of the hottest catwalk models at the moment. Dutch rules. But we already knew that.
