Happy & Healthy

This is why I choose organic

That I love tasty and honest food because I like to live fit, you all know that by now. But I would also find it pretty cool if we all stood up a bit more for Mother Earth. Sounds dusty, huh? But hey, don't we want our children or grandchildren (we hope) to still have something from the flowers and the bees?
But Simoon, why is organic food actually healthier? Liesbeth already told you about her chickeny interview with Nina Pierson. But I'll also tell you a bit about the why and the therefore. And then I'll immediately transform September into #organictember.

Organic vegetables and fruits are unsprayed. That means you can just eat the skin of your apple or kiwi. ‘Yeah, but I wash my apple under the tap before I bite into it?’ Very good, friend, but washing doesn't remove those pesticides that stick to your freshly washed apple. And in the skin of that organic apple are just the most vitamins and minerals.

And that's not all. The taste of an organic tomato is so much better than those low-budget red rascals. Less water bombs, more flavor. We like, right?

But let's go back to Mother Earth, whom I find just as important. Organic is also better for the environment, has less impact on the greenhouse effect, ensures cleaner drinking water, and makes sure that CO2 emissions are much lower. And you can see that reflected in those flowers and those bees.
