THIS LITTLE HOTEL IN PARIS
BREATHES ROMANCE

City trips are fun, city trips to Paris are formidable. With the traces of the sun still on my cheeks and the Portuguese wine still in my blood, I was once again the lucky one who got to travel. The past few days I spent in the city of love. Now, Paris already gives you the ultimate feeling of romance, but the hotel where I stayed breathes it. Do you have a trip to Paris planned for the holidays? Then start surfing to the website of Hôtel Providence Paris, because you must go here.

This small boutique hotel is perfect down to the details. The Laura Ashley wallpaper on the walls is perfectly in place here. You can smell the fireplace upon entering, and the quaint little paintings on the wall hang there as if they have been there for decades. I hadn't even seen my room yet when I already wished for a romantic Frenchman by my side. At such a moment, you secretly want to cross the threshold of the hotel room with your crush, and not just Remi with a press kit under your arm. Anyway.

À bientôt Paris, je reviens avec mon amour.

That dark blue in the bedroom ensures the ultimate night's sleep, the French know. The baroque-style bed covered with triple pillows, crackling white sheets, and a velvety soft throw stands prominently in the room against a midnight blue wall. The room is not very large, but just big enough. The beautiful high old French doors lead to a perfect little balcony that is just big enough for the cute seating area. It invites you for a glass of champagne or a breakfast in the French morning sun (see, I need to go back, for love AND that breakfast in the sun). The room is finished with marble, copper, steel, and perfectly matching wallpaper. A mix of modern and romantically old-fashioned elements, then. The architect who went wild here can come forward to me.

The petit déjeuner the next morning? In French AND among the French. Warm baguette, pain au chocolat, madeleines, jam, and small wooden boards topped with cheese and ham. For me? Cute jars of French yogurt, pineapple carpaccio, homemade muesli, and dried fruit.

À bientôt Paris, je reviens avec mon amour.
