Happy & Healthy
we’ve got great news
Fries are healthy
Fries are hot and that alone is already great news because you no longer have to feel embarrassed when you go out for a ‘greasy’ meal. A handful (or more) of fries is extremely hip and happening. Sergio Herman (if the name doesn’t ring a bell, Google is your best friend, and believe me, this is a name you want to remember) recently opened up Frites Atelier in The Hague and is planning on introducing the Netherlands to a stylish fries establishment. (See? More reason to head on over to our country.) Ditch the ketchup (or in the case of the Dutch: the mayonnaise) because what you do want is basil, truffle, béarnaise sauce and the classic Belgian mayonnaise recipe.
And do you know what the best part of all is? Fries aren’t all that bad for you. Potatoes (and tomatoes, aubergines and pumpkins too) have more antioxidants when they’ve been baked before they get eaten. And antioxidants help protect the cells in your body. The only requirement is that you don’t forget to clean the grease every so often, but that’s something we know we can always expect from Sergio.
