WEEKEND WORKOUT: HOW DO I GET THROUGH THE DAY WORKING OUT (BUT WITHOUT A GYM)?
Sometimes, you know, sometimes I just don't feel like diving into that overcrowded gym on the weekend. The lighter dumbbells disappear right before your eyes, and you have to use a cross trainer because all the treadmills are occupied, and once again there's no mat to be found. Your intention to do 200 sit-ups is about to fail again (and that makes it 4 weeks in a row).
But we are definitely not trading the croissants with butter (or Nutella, also delicious) for a few carrots or a boring bowl of oatmeal. It's the weekend, and those two go together. And I haven't even mentioned the cheese platter that will be on the table tonight (and there should be a good drink to go with it). In the spirit of every little bit helps, we are doing everything on foot this Saturday and without the gym.
– Diehard push-ups can simply be done next to your bed. Not fun, I know, but they do work.
– A minute of planking, or just two times half a minute. Why is this such a nice minute? Because you not only work your abs well, but your full body as well.
– Swap your regular grocery store for one that's a kilometer away. Good for cardio and for those little muscles, because why grab one bottle of wine when you can train your arms with three bottles of wine at once on the way back?
– Take the stairs everywhere instead of the elevator or escalator. All for that bootay.
