WHY YOU SHOULD GO ON VACATION TO CANADA
Hey, are you already daydreaming about where you will go on vacation this summer? Not in the mood for Europe, Asia too dirty, and America too expensive? I have an option: Canada. And for the following reasons.
#1 The exchange rate
Normally, complicated things like stock exchanges and exchange rates are matters I stay far away from, but it is good to know that the Canadian dollar is currently very low. Much lower than the American variant. And that is good news because you can buy a lot of beautiful things for a lot less than you would pay here or in the States.
#2 The Canadians
They are extremely nice. Really, you feel so welcome there. Standing on the street fumbling with a map and I bet someone will come to your aid? In some parts of the country, people don’t even lock their front doors because no one breaks in anyway. Can someone explain that to the Amsterdammers?
#3 The nature
In Ontario, you have the Niagara Falls, and just that alone is worth a trip to Canada. Furthermore, there are countless kilometers of forest and mountains and valleys, and for us Dutch people, it is a completely different world.
#4 Road tripping
Rent a camper and drive through the country. Or a regular car, that’s fine too. Really. Or the train, that’s still an option. There is plenty of beauty to see, so take your time and stop wherever you want. That’s true freedom.
#5 Winter sports
I already told you here about why it is so nice on Canadian slopes. And that is still the case. So, love for snow? Canada is your answer.
#6 Star spotting
Not in the sky, or well, that too, but I mean more other stars. Justin Bieber, Ryan Gosling, Ryan Reynolds, Matthew Perry, and Rachel McAdams, just to name a few, all come from Canada. So who knows, you might just visit their hometown like they do, and you definitely don’t want to miss that.
#7 Playing outside
Especially for the city kids among us, a great benefit: endless outdoor play. Rafting? Climbing mountains? Horseback riding? Hiking? No country is better for that than Canada.
#8 Multicultural
Canada is a country of immigrants, in Toronto alone, 50% of the residents were not born in Canada. And that means there are a lot of diverse neighborhoods, with corresponding restaurants from all corners of the world.
#9 Toronto
Perhaps one of the most fun cities I visited last year. A sort of New York, but just a bit more manageable.
#10 The other cities
Because there is of course more than just Toronto, and more than nature. Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City – they are all equally fun.
So don’t wait any longer and book your ticket to Canada now with You know, since I went to Toronto in Canada last year, I have become a big fan of that city and its surroundings. Now, it’s not just that there’s a lot of fun to do....
