6X HOT CHOCOLATE
WITH A TWIST

Do you remember when I told you that you have to go to the absolute best hot chocolate at our neighbors in Paris? They make this super satisfying drink with real chocolate chunks. Very easy to make and so much tastier. Especially for you, I found six variations on this winter treat. Which one will you try?

For two cups of hot chocolate:

1. Chocolate/coconut milk. Super creamy with a touch of coconut

– 250 ml almond milk

“I am extremely fond of sweet potato.”

– a few large pieces of dark chocolate

– grated coconut for garnish

Bring the milk to a boil and add the coconut milk. Let the chocolate melt in the milk and pour it into two mugs. Garnish with some grated coconut.

2. Cinnamon chocolate, because life is so much better with a pinch of cinnamon

– 400 ml cashew milk

– a few large pieces of dark and milk chocolate (50/50)

– ground cinnamon

– cinnamon stick for garnish

Heat the cashew milk and let the chocolate melt. Add a bit of cinnamon and pour it into two mugs. Use a cinnamon stick as a spoon.

3. Spicy it up! When you come home after a freezing bike ride, this is what will warm you up

– 400 ml whole milk

– a few pieces of dark chocolate

– half a red chili pepper, finely chopped

Heat the milk and add the chocolate and chili pepper. Keep on low heat and let it sit so the pepper can infuse the milk. Strain out the peppers and divide into two mugs.

4. With a boozzz for the Sunday afternoon

– 400 ml whole milk

– a few pieces of dark chocolate

– splash of Bailey’s, Liquor 43 or another favorite liqueur

Heat the milk, add the chocolate, and only add the liqueur at the end. Pour it immediately into the mugs, otherwise the alcohol evaporates and that's a shame.

5. Marshmallows. If this isn't a party, then I don't know what is

– 400 ml almond milk

– a few pieces of dark chocolate

– mini marshmallows

Heat the milk and add the chocolate. Pour the hot chocolate into the mugs and top with mini marshmallows.

6. White hot chocolate. If you love sweet, then this is what you want

– 400 ml whole milk

– a few pieces of white chocolate

Heat the milk and add the chocolate. This will score you points with kids.
