HERE IS WHERE YOU NEED TO BE FOR YOUR EASTER BRUNCH

I actually traditionally do Easter brunch at my mother's with a lot of hidden colored eggs in the garden. So many that you often come across a stray one months later while mowing the lawn. But if I can deviate, I like to do that somewhere where they fill the tables with all kinds of delicious things. Do you have nothing planned today or tomorrow and want to be pampered? Then these are the places you need to be. Of course, only after you've done my Easter training, ha!

1. Amsterdam

Anyone who really wants to make something special out of Easter should reserve a table today or tomorrow at the Amstel Hotel. On Easter Sunday, an extensive Easter lunch is served in the incredibly beautiful Spiegelzaal, with live entertainment. And of course, a glass of champagne belongs there. Prefer to sit casually at the table? Then Pllek is where you need to be. Because Easter won't go unnoticed there either. Here you will get a flavorful brunch today consisting of seven dishes that are served at the same time.

2. Maastricht

If you want to tap an egg with me, this is the place where you can join on Easter Monday. And yes, the name says it all; the plates that are placed in front of you are special. Because what you get here goes beyond a brioche bun. I mention a corn-egg muffin, a fruit soup with homemade granola (an absolute flavor explosion), and special petit fours made from dates, nuts, and goat cheese. Let yourself be surprised during this Easter season, but one thing is certain: it will definitely be colorful and flavorful.

3. Haarlem

In the mood for a good scone with creamy clotted cream? Then Jetties is where you need to be. Here you can (only today) enjoy a delicious organic high tea or royal afternoon tea. If *summerbody, summerbody* is echoing in your head, go for the healthy high tea. But if you're mainly in the mood for homemade scones with cream and jam, cakes, and other small sweets, go all the way for the regular high tea.

4. Amerongen

Amerongen? Yep. If you want to brunch like royalty, make sure you plop down in the seats of Buitenplaats Amerongen with a starched blouse. Oh yes, and with a growling stomach. Because what is served here is much more than a croissant with jam. Various types of charcuterie, pâtés, smoked salmon and shrimp cocktails, cod and fennel papillote, and seasonal vegetables from the vegetable garden. I told you: royal enjoyment.

5. Zeist

You can brunch even more royally at Kasteel Kerckebosch. Monastery bread with brie de meaux and praline of plums and walnuts, I can feel it. Or the fresh tuna with beans, red onion, bell pepper, tomato, and a poached egg. The little ones are also thought of; they can search for eggs in the garden and there is also an Easter bunny present.

6. Groningen

At Kaap Hoorn, you toast to spring with a glass of cava. Choose from dishes like goat cheese croquettes, luxury sandwiches, and wraps. But what about Tony’s Chocolonely cheesecake? I thought it was worth the trip to Groningen...

And now I'm going to have a little egg tapping contest with my sweethearts at the brunch table.
