‘Nice workout Simoon!’ I heard someone shout behind me while I parked my bike against the facade of my favorite coffee shop. I had worked out (duh), but in the meantime, I had already done a thousand other things. So on the weekends, I prefer to walk around in my favorite sports tights, my Nikes, and a comfy sweater. And luckily, that's just fine, because I'm certainly not the only one who dresses like this in Amsterdam. Sportswear is no longer just for inside the four walls of the gym. If you style your sports pants a bit nicely, you can easily go straight to your lunch appointment or family visit. But of course, I'm not talking about that worn-out legging from four years ago with holes that are just barely not falling apart, right? Especially for you, I made a list of my favorite sports brands.
1. Deblon Sports
From the day I met the ultra-beautiful ladies of Deblon Sports, I have been addicted to their sportswear. Marjolein and Céline, the faces behind this luxury sports brand, work with the best fabrics produced in Brazil. Soft and sturdy, but also breathable fabrics that provide the ultimate fit and a lifting effect. If you see me hopping around in Amsterdam on the weekends, there's a very good chance I'm doing that in my Deblon sports tights. Because believe me: you won't take off that legging after your workout.
2. Adidas by Stella McCartney
The new collection from Adidas has been inspired by the dynamics of sprinter Octavious Freeman. It has become a collection specifically developed for female athletes. Cheerful colors and beautiful fabrics make you long for the first spring runs in Vondelpark.
3. Filippa K – Soft Sport
The well-known Scandinavian brand Filippa K is coming out this spring with another incredibly beautiful sports collection that is not only suitable for your yoga class, no, you also want to wear the outfits from this new line during that long flight or walk through the dunes.
4. Lululemon
Lululemon is a young brand from Canada that started with yoga clothing. The brand is now known worldwide and they also have running clothes in addition to yoga. You really need to have these tights in your closet. They provide the perfect lift for your butt. I want it.
5. Olympia
In this clothing, I just want to walk around all summer. The sports bras are beautifully finished; you wouldn't even want to wear a top over them. And even if you did, it would have to be a see-through piece made of mesh fabric. The Mateo legging has become a household name and is available in various lengths.
6. Jogha
Aranka, I have to confess something to you. I'm a little in love with you. Not just because you're so incredibly beautiful (and because you have the cutest cat), but especially because you make such stunning sportswear. How is it possible that it's not in my closet yet? Good point. Every time I see a nice print pop up on social media, I get butterflies. The prints make the Jogha collection distinctive. I should just place an order.
7. Lucas Hugh
Victoria Beckham and Gwyneth Paltrow are big fans of this high-end sports brand. And I totally understand that. The seamless Technical Knit legging is a must-have in your sports wardrobe and is high on my wishlist.
