9X WHY I START THE DAY WITH LEMON WATER

What coffee is for most people, warm water with lemon is for me. A boost to start the day. Once I’ve put on my gym clothes in the morning, I don’t leave my little house without lemon water. And I have my reasons for that. Why you should also start the day with a big glass of lemon from now on?

1. It gives you energy

Many people drink coffee in the morning to get energy, but that coffee leads to an even bigger slump after that energy boost. Additionally, it also dehydrates your body. Warm water with lemon gives you long-lasting energy.

2. It promotes digestion

By drinking a glass of water immediately upon waking, you kickstart your digestive system. You prepare your digestion for the breakfast that follows, and the vitamins and minerals in the lemon help flush out food residues from your stomach and intestines.

3. It strengthens the immune system

Vitamin C and potassium in lemon help you prevent colds and stimulate brain function. Additionally, vitamin C promotes the absorption of iron in your body. And iron in your body plays an important role in good resistance.

4. You get a little subscription to the toilet

Lemon acts as a diuretic. It keeps the urinary tract clean and provides you with a little ticket for the toilet.

5. It purifies the skin

Vitamin C has an alkalizing (acid-reducing) effect, which reduces the chance of acne.

6. It helps shed a few pounds

The pectin in lemon prevents feelings of hunger. *takes another glass...*

7. It cleanses the liver

Citric acid ensures good liver function, allowing toxins to be eliminated. *from now on takes a glass of wine AND a glass of lemon water*

8. It reduces stress

When you are stressed, it may very well be that you have a deficiency of vitamin C. From now on, regularly fill your basket with bags of lemons and save yourself a lot of stress.

9. It helps you get rid of your coffee habit

Drink your glass of lemon water several times throughout the day. You will notice that you have less need for caffeine.

And uh, you do your dentist a big favor if you sip this drink through a straw. That’s kinder to your enamel.
