About Maan and that failed joke from 538

Whether I have seen the video of Maan Maan. The DJs of Radio 538 pulled ‘something funny’ on her that scared her so much she started crying. Uh, no, I haven't seen that video, but if something is the Monday morning talk of the day, then I will sit down and watch it closely.

So I put watched the video it on right away. I see Maan deeply engrossed in a song. Singing with her eyes closed. Huh, what's happening now? A bare butt? Is there really a man in front of her waving his little thing? Oh god, she doesn't notice. She keeps singing. Then she opens her eyes, completely freaks out, dives to the ground, and spontaneously bursts into tears. What is happening here? Poor Maan.

In the background, loud laughter from the DJs. Maan's breath catches and she starts to sob. The DJs realize that the joke has backfired and try to minimize the damage, but the harm has already been done. Despite the fact that there are probably enough people for whom this joke would have turned out less harshly, I still feel a sense of indignation. This girl is 20, extremely nervous for a performance at 538, and is being made a fool of. I really don't understand what's so funny about that. And I'm not the only one. Twitter is about to explode. ‘Making the artist act as a court jester for the DJ as king... Disgusting,’ is one of the many reactions. ‘538 DJs think it's funny to unexpectedly ”treat’ the singer to a naked man in front of her. The singer bursts into tears, and understandably so. What kind of stupid behavior is this?’

Gentlemen at 538, look, it probably wasn't meant badly, but this is a joke you just can't make with everyone. You might have hoped for a fit of laughter, but a crying fit was the result. A case of missing the mark completely. I vote for an infinite amount of Maan playing on 538 this week. That's at least the least you can do. Bunch of amateurs.

Update: Maan just posted a statement on Instagram: “The streaker incident scared me intensely and was a totally misplaced and terribly stupid joke. I felt really bad about it, but it's been three weeks now and after several apologies from Frank and his team, I've moved on.” Very good, Maan.
