The summer of 2017 may have just begun, but I already want to talk to you about next year. Fabienne Chapot Fabienne Chapot showcased her SS18 collection in a very special way yesterday. And that has everything to do with Fabienne's bucket list, which she has just been able to check off. That calls for an Amayzine Questionnaire. Are you reading along?

Your nickname?

‘Faab.’

First job?

‘When I was 15, I had my very first part-time job at a beach club in Scheveningen. My first starter position was at an advertising agency.’

Your favourite among shops?

‘If I have extra money, it’s definitely Net-A-Porter. Furthermore, Maje, Sandro, and Ganni are my absolute favorites.’

What do you eat when calories are not a factor?

‘French cheese.’

I have never ever…

‘I’ve done bungee jumping. I have quite a fear of heights, so that seems really scary to me.’

Who do you swap wardrobes with à la minute?

‘With Julie Sariñana.’

And what do you do when no one is home?

‘Mostly working :-). Or watching a series or tidying up a bit at home.’

Your very first designer piece?

‘Jimmy Choos.’

Do you have a beauty secret?

‘I use the brand emerginC for skincare. There’s an oil in capsules that you apply all over your face before going to sleep. The next morning, you have a very soft and beautiful skin. A real recommendation!’

Who would you like to have coffee with?

‘With the CEO of Miu Miu.’

Which item from your closet do you wear the most?

‘The boyfriend dress from my own brand. It’s so comfortable and looks great right away.’

This must remain fashion forever?

‘The Breton stripe.’

Ultimate moment of relaxation?

‘A 75-minute facial with a massage, really wonderful!’

You want a ticket to?

‘The Kamalaya Resort on Koh Samui.’

‘A pair of Levi’s jeans, sunglasses from Dick Moby, and Santal from Le Labo at Skins.’

What is on your bucket list?

‘Giving a fashion show has always been at the top of my bucket list, and that just happened yesterday.’

What is your favorite item from the latest SS18 collection?

‘The Mia Dress in Blue Lagoon print.’

Your source of inspiration behind the collections?

‘With the design team, we are actually never inspired by just one thing; it’s really everything. However, we always try to stay as close as possible to our own DNA. The prints, feminine silhouettes, color usage, and fit are the most important.’

The story behind your very first fashion show?

‘We want to take people along in the whole experience of our brand Fabienne Chapot. Our SS18 is a collection we are of course very proud of. It’s a very unique and outspoken collection that I think can make many fashion hearts beat faster. Our creativity from the concept and the design comes together perfectly during the show on the runway. And that is really amazing!’

Fashion rule you live by?

‘Never buy clothes that are too small!’
