Followers. on Instagram the biggest blogger from the Netherlands. Sometimes I almost forget that Negin ‘just’ comes from Almere because of her glamorous life. The coolest part? Recently, she got to walk as a model for Dolce & Gabbana during Milan Fashion Week. The sky is the limit for Negin. So it was time to roll out our pink carpet for her for a questionnaire.
Negin, just a little about your debut at the Dolce & Gabbana show during Fashion Week in Milan. How was that?
“An incredibly special experience. Normally, I am always in the audience, so it was very special to experience it from the other side for once.”
In one sentence, what went through your mind?
“As long as I don't fall! Just before I had to walk, I happened to watch the episode of Sex and the City where it happened to Carrie Bradshaw…”
Your fashion icon?
“My mother, she has always inspired me. What I found so beautiful is that my mother always made her own dresses and chose the fabrics herself. I always loved going with her. That has awakened my love for fashion .”
First job?
“My first job was serving appetizers at a Chinese all-you-can-eat restaurant.”
Your favourite among shops?
“The Tearose Boutique in Milan. It is a niche boutique with the most beautiful flowers and they also offer beauty products.”
What do you eat when calories are not a factor?
“Flemish fries, pizza and Ben & Jerry’s.”
I have never ever…
“I have never had a full-time job within a company. I always thought I would do that; work full-time for a boss.”
Your very first designer piece?
“My Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag. I bought it with the salary from my part-time job and my savings.”
Do you have a beauty secret?
My Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil. I travel a lot, which causes my hair and skin to dry out quickly. The oil ensures that the moisture balance is restored and maintained.

Who would you like to have coffee with?
“Steve Jobs. He inspired me a lot, especially when I was almost done with my studies. I then decided to enter the fashion world, which was unusual and not according to the traditional path, as I studied Business Administration & Marketing. Steve Jobs inspired me to go for it and persevere.”

“That I was almost ten kilos heavier until six years ago.”
Which item in your closet do you wear the most?
“A mom jeans. I wear it during the day and in the evening. The only thing I change is my top, shoes, and bag. The mom jeans is an absolute classic that always looks good.’

“Cold-shoulder tops. I have been wearing them non-stop for ten years and now they are very much in fashion again.”
Which label should we fall in love with?
“In America, there is Creatures of Comfort. They sell various labels and recently also have their own brand with very cool designs.”
You want a ticket to…
“Traveling through Argentina and then through South America.”
Name the last three things you bought.
“A bag from Prada, YSL shoes and a concealer from NARS.”
If your bag could talk, what would it tell us?
“That I always panic and look in my bag because I often fear that I have lost or forgotten something.”
Fashion rule you live by?
“Know what suits you and what you feel comfortable with, but always keep experimenting.”
What else is on your bucket list?
“I really want to go on safari in Africa.”
