You know that we are quite good friends with Omoda. Because they have the coolest shoes for a good price. Because they deliver tomorrow what you ordered today. Because you can return for free (I always order two sizes to make sure one fits). Because they always have fun events and sometimes just give away 1000 euros that someone can spend on shoes and bags.

There might have been a small, tiny, tiny downside to our friendship. They didn't have a branch in Amsterdam. So if I had an acute shoe hunger or needed a pair for a shoot or just felt like wandering through a store (because their stores are the coolest), that wasn't possible. Minor problem, but still.

Until I suddenly got whispered that Omoda is getting an Amsterdam branch. And when Omoda does something, they do it well. And big. Curious as I am, I immediately dove into the app with one of my friends from shoe paradise. Is it true that..? She confirmed. And where then? Could she already tell that? ‘Where would you like it?’ was her response.

I was racing through the streets in my head. Kalverstraat? Too easy. Leidsestraat? Not cool enough. Cornelis Schuyt? Too small, too niche. Van Baerlestraat? That would be perfect. And yes, bingo!

Close to Willemsparkweg, near the P.C., near the Conservatory. Just perfect! On April 1, an Omoda outlet will open first and in October they will renovate the entire store in Omoda style. I will definitely be lying with a sleeping bag in front of the door. See you there?
