Body & Mind

BYE BYE WINTER FAT

Do you also sometimes have binge eating episodes? But really those embarrassing ones? That you're home alone and in a quarter of an hour you devour a bowl of cashews (holy shit, apparently 1000 (!) calories) and then move on to cookies, candy, ice cream, and everything else that's somewhat available? God, thankfully. But you see, it has just happened to me a bit too often this winter.

This week it was one big feast at the editorial office anyway. French cheeses, pastries, tompouces, other orange mess for the king's birthday (which of course also needs to be toasted); just name it. Even worse is that I can't even blame my colleagues, because as the chairperson of Team Snack, I am almost always the instigator of these kinds of calorie parties. It's not a disaster in itself, except that I've had this strange craving all month. It's just that I'm not pregnant, otherwise I would be, it's that bad. And then at some point, it becomes a bit of a thing. Of course, I'm proud of who I am, even happy with my body. But, if those love handles could just be a little tighter before the sun and skirt season of summer really kicks in, I would find that quite chill.

So today I’m having an old-fashioned apple day from my buddies at NewFysic. I’ve written about it here before. The cool thing about NewFysic is that I don’t even see it as a ‘diet’, but as a way of life. When I did NewFysic, I ate more than ever before, just totally different products than I was used to and thus I lost weight rapidly. If you don’t know it yet: the idea is that you get a personal nutrition plan based on your lifestyle and where you can eat deliciously and healthily.
As a backup, you also go to a personal coach every week for a weigh-in moment. Furthermore, you stay miles away from that scale, so that if you stick to your plan at least, you walk out with a smile after each visit to your coach. You also get special dietary supplements that target fat mass while keeping your muscle mass intact. And also nice: your cravings for sweets are also reduced.

Diets? Hell no. Adjusting your eating pattern? Yes. So, now that I think about it again, I think I’ll make an appointment again. Sorry winter fat, it was cozy, it was fun, but it’s time to say goodbye. Take care, my friends. Perhaps until next year.
