THE SECRET OF FORMER KLM STAFF in Lisbon
Yes, I wish I could take credit for this, but I owe it to my mother. Last week, when we were in Lisbon for a day, we actually went out for dinner at a favorite of former KLM staff. I think I’ve shared this before, but both my parents flew back for KLM years ago. And if there was ever a flight to Lisbon, they would always be found in the evening at Bonjardim for a spit-roasted chicken. A simple dinner menu with all Portuguese dishes, but there was one dish they always went for: the spit-roasted chicken. With piri piri sauce. So that was on the menu last week. And the best part of this whole story is that at one point a lady came up to my mother to ask if she also used to fly for KLM, because she was also from the old guard and thought my mother looked familiar. So cute, of course. So guys, tip from the KLM folks: Bonjardim in Lisbon. You’re welcome.
