Image Republic, I know it from the mojito, the bloody mary and the margarita on my friend's wall AND from the Nike Air Max, Stan Smith and Vans as the crowning piece in the shoe heaven of my boyfriend. And despite the fact that I find Pharrell Williams and Snoop Doggie Dogg quite pleasant, I had not yet found my favorite artwork at Image Republic. Although, they have the Créateurs collection and there are definitely some favorites among them, the problem is that I have a lot of favorites. Conclusion: I can't choose a side in the wonderful world of fashion designers. I mean, that's the same as choosing between never shopping at Zara or & Other Stories again and the choice between never being able to wear a Saint Laurent or Chanel crossbody again. That-just-can't-happen.
And while Image Republic can't solve the choice stress around Zara for us, I no longer have to choose a side between my favorite brands and thus also designers. It's my study friend C who is opening her very first concept store Studio Jøt & Jøl. There it was: my Le Duo artwork. Jean Paul Gaultier, Tom Ford, Vivienne Westwood, Victoria Beckham and Karl Lagerfeld were all present. You understand: all my favorites portrayed as one big happy family, who are coming home with me. The Brijl family is complete.
