Peejays donuts

The donut is on the way, guys. Recently, Dunkin’ Donuts opened its first location in Amsterdam and many more are following. During my running route, I ran into (a still closed door of) the newest gem. And yes, if that gem is on the way to the editorial office and you feel that that one colleague could really use something sweet to get through the day, you stop for a moment. Even if it’s only 9 o'clock and your reputation might be at stake. ‘No girlfriend, I really don’t need a dozen and yes, it’s really not for me.’ Now, I’m not exactly a hero when it comes to making choices, but if you also have no clue about the sweet American snack, then choosing becomes quite a challenge. What do you do then? You just go for the most Instagrammable dough blob (yes, that’s really the Dutch translation) with glaze and colored sprinkles. I scored points, you get that. And secretly, I’m going back after six for that brown glazed maple pecan that was peeking at me in the corner. No girlfriend, I don’t need a dozen, and yes, it’s really for my colleague.
