SUSHI CAKE

You should know that birthdays here at the editorial office do not just pass by. Weeks in advance, people already ask what you are going to ‘treat’. Gosh, the pressure was on this week. I was a: already had my birthday over the weekend and b: had no treat yet. And actually found c: everything a bit meh to treat. Again that red velvet cake? Bake something myself? Just stock up on a whole load of candy? Meh. Done too often or all just not quite enough moi. AND THEN THIS HAPPENED. I was tagged by colleague Anne (hi Anne, eternal fame on your favorite website you know yourself) in a post on Facebook about sushi. Because she knows that I can get out of bed at half past one at night if you wave really good Japanese rice rolls in front of my nose.

Anyway, that Facebook post then. It said that Poké Perfect (that delicious place where they sell sushi bowls), now also has the... SUSHI CAKE, specially for parties. It costs you thirty-five euros and it even comes packaged in a funny cake box. Oh my god, I had to and would order this thing. Two no less. A salmon cake with mango and a tuna cake with tempura crunch. SO, AND WHO NOW HAS THE MOST ORIGINAL TREAT EVER? That's what I mean. The bar is high, colleagues... Very high...
