Training in Ibiza

Some people think I'm crazy, but I find it the best thing there is: training during your vacation. And it doesn't have to be every day, you know. But sun, sea, and beach invite me to work up a sweat before the day begins. Covering kilometers along the sea or doing laps in a refreshing pool while the rest of the hotel sleeps off their hangover is anything but a punishment for me. This vacation didn't stop there. The golden hands of personal trainer Laura Zwart ensured that I got back on the plane after ten days without any extra pounds. A year ago, Laura turned her life around and moved to Ibiza to keep vacationers and island residents bikini-ready 365 days a year. An hour of squats, walking lunges, and planks with a view of the sea and the warm sun on your skin is almost a gift to be able to do. Almost, right? But do you know what might be the best part of training in such a sunny place? After my workout, I also filled my plate with fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, and still warm rolls topped with silky Spanish Serrano ham. And in the afternoon, from my beach bed (because: sore muscles in my butt), I simply ordered a pitcher of sangria instead of a glass.

So friend, if you plan to plop your butt on the beach in Ibiza this month (or if your trip is already planned for next year), then you know who to turn to.
