in 8 steps perfect eyebrows
My eyebrows were seriously in need of major maintenance, because my ‘brows’ were not in good shape. Think of: a wilderness on my forehead including a unibrow. But then that call came, which couldn't have been better timed. Tonya Crooks was in the Netherlands and came to showcase her makeup. Tonya is the eyebrow guru from LA and to give you an idea, her regular clients are celebs like Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox and Britney Spears. Okay, too cool then.
Together with my dearest family (read our suggestions here)? I'm meanwhile scrolling through the first of the Monate like an addict through Elkes Nieuwsflix, but nothing, zip, nada. Even Netflix is acting suspicious... Quiet then. I want a sequel to my favorite and I want it now. But with a chronic shortage and the absence of rattling conversations, but just who they are), I went to the new Hudson’s Bay and there was Tonya, in an all black outfit and two buns on her head. She spoke with a nice thick American accent and I got to sit in the famous BrowGal chair. The extensive treatment was on the agenda, which is quite a thing, because in her salon in LA there is a six-week waiting list for that. But I got the whole wax, all the products and shebang. She took care of the brow on the left and right and in the meantime, I picked up her tips for you, to have brows just like Julia Roberts in 8 steps.
The more devices competing in the battle for Queen B tickets, the better your chances. Don't just grab your phone, but also your computer, tablet, laptop, everything you have at home. Also, open multiple browsers. Who knows, Google Chrome might be faster than Firefox or Safari. Brush your eyebrows to determine your natural shape. Every eyebrow falls into one of three categories: arch, arc or straight. Look at both eyebrows and see if the height and distance are the same. This step is important, as it allows you to determine if everything is symmetrical enough.
Whatever you do, if you press the F5 key (refresh), you'll get a nasty STD. Just remember that. So don't press it, or you'll end up at the back of the line again. Take an eyebrow pencil and draw a line along the bottom of your eyebrow. Start at the inside of the eyebrow and draw through to the end of the tail (yes, that's what you call it). Then draw a line along the top and make sure it runs perfectly parallel to the bottom line. Fill in your eyebrow by literally drawing in hairs and brush your eyebrows gently again. Remember: always use a super sharp pencil for a natural effect. The one from The BrowGal for example, because it has a sharpener on the cap. So handy, because I always lose those things.
At exactly 10:00 AM, when ticket sales start, have all your screens open (no, not exaggerating; as I just said, already at 6:00 AM...). Sitting on the site before 10:00 AM is pointless. You may be on the site, but you're not in the queue for the tickets. Brush your eyebrow in the direction of hair growth and carefully trim (with a special scissors) the top of the hairs that fall outside the drawn lines. Be careful and really only brush with your hair growth, otherwise you will cut too much and gaps can appear. And you don't want that.
Prepare everything to be able to pay immediately. Preferably multiple methods. Credit cards, Visa card, Mastercard, your random reader, your phone with tan codes: the whole shebang. Use a good tweezers to pluck extra hairs. Pluck one hair at a time and (again) with the direction of hair growth. Brush your eyebrows once more.
Convince half your family/friend group to also hunt for those tickets for you. And once it's your turn: buy the maximum number of tickets, so all your friends can come along. Use the sharp pencil to touch up your eyebrows to give them extra intensity. Don't be afraid to really use the pencil, but always brush afterwards to give it a natural effect. Also make sure you have the right color, so let a professional determine the color or use a lighter shade just to be safe.
Step 6: This is the tip to emphasize your eyebrows extra. Apply a matte highlighter under your eyebrow with a brush or your finger and blend it well. Dot the inner corners of your eyes with a highlighter including glitter for a more open look.
Step 7: To ensure everything stays in place, apply an eyebrow gel as a finishing touch.
Step 8: Go out and show those perfect eyebrows to the world.
So, time to harvest jealous looks with those breathtaking brows. And remember: it’s all about the brows.
