Is El Chapo the new Narcos?

They always associate sex, drugs & rock ‘n’ roll with types like Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, but actually, you can also use those terms to describe the success factor of series. I mention a Breaking Bad, a Weeds, a Bloodline, and of course Narcos – all drug-related. In terms of sex, you always had Sex & The City of course, Californication, and The Affair where plenty of hot and steamy scenes occur. And that touch of rock ‘n’ roll, that comes from the Hollywood actors themselves.

So if you're part of Netflix and you're once again in the mood for a hit, you make use of the key ingredients. Enter: El Chapo. The new series about the life of the Mexican drug lord Joaquín Guzmán, better known as El Chapo, who has been available on Netflix since last Friday. Feared but also cherished by many Mexicans, who also managed to escape from a high-security prison twice. If you want to know; nowadays, Mr. can simply be found behind bars in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York.

The world of narcotics and drug lords; it's conquering Hollywood. I somewhat understand it, because stories about drug smuggling via frozen sharks and all the other crazy things that come with it, is for many a far-from-my-bed show. It intrigues you, you want to know everything about it. How someone can escape from prison not once, but twice, or the story of the 100 million dollar bounty on Donald Trump's head is true, his four marriages, and mainly that with his beauty queen wife who is over thirty years younger and whom he married as soon as she turned eighteen: I. want. to. know. everything.

So do you want to brush up on your Spanish and delve into the world of El Chapo? Time to binge.
