The I-have-nothing-to-take-on-trip panic has been crawling out of my suitcase almost every 48 hours before departure lately. At least, I think it’s crawling out of my suitcase, because during the first physical contact between me and my trolley, panic hits me like a bomb. And this nice suit is exactly why it went home with me a few weeks ago. Amayzine went to Paris. We went driving, correction; I went driving. Six hours in the car. I wanted to look nice but it had to be comfortable above all. A travel suit is what I needed, and so it happened: the travel suit came into being. And just in time, I squeezed myself into it and we raced in our Renault Twingo towards the Boulevard Beaumarchais.

And I’ll be honest with you: normally, this kind of impulsive purchases often end up deep in the closet after my trip, but not this time. Must have something to do with the high comfort level, don’t you think? Whether it’s the trousers, the double-breasted jacket, or the whole thing together as a suit; I wear it weekly. A real recommendation, then. And you really don’t need to have a vacation or city trip on your travel schedule to treat yourself to this suit from Zara. The sneakers are from Isabel Marant Étoile, the bag is from Saint Laurent, I picked up the Gucci sunglasses from Annick, and my T-shirt is from Levi’s; can’t miss it, I think.
