WE ARE NOMINATED!! NOMINATED!! Since last Wednesday, I can hardly think of anything else. Especially when I see May hopping around the editorial office. Proud as a peacock, because while Amayzine is my best friend, it is May's baby that has managed to blossom at a rapid pace. And what can I remember well about our ‘paper hat decision‘; our very first Runway Issue was not long after a fact. And of course, there were the necessary blood, sweat, and tears, but it was mainly the love that dripped from this adventure. Love for print, but certainly also for Amayzine and each other.

So you understand: with less than a year later a Mercury nomination for print launch (you know, the Oscars in magazine land) in the pocket, I could no longer keep my proud inner peacock in check. And then, today we also have May in the Look of the Day. Wearing a Smythe blazer pulled from her closet, which she combines with the perfect flared jeans from Lois (and check out the MM initials along the seam, has anyone ever seen something so cool?). May finishes her look with a statement ring from Wouters & Hendrix, on her wrist her IWC Pilot Watch, Louis Vuitton crossbody, and on her feet boots from Lola Cruz via Omoda. Oh, and that handsome smile, that's all her own. Oh guys, just when my inner peacock was about to lie down, that proud braces girlfriend is getting involved again…
