STEPHANIE ROOS VAN LITH
When this photo popped into my inbox, I looked sideways at colleague T on the right: did I receive the right photos? I have some ultra-beautiful brunette on my screen who looks like she rolled out of an old Hollywood movie. Material for our next magazine perhaps?
Good morning dear friends, may I introduce you to Stephanie? A true Amsterdammer, raised in the heart of the city where her parents had a restaurant and where she has never left since. As a little girl, this beauty looked more backward than forward and she draws her inspiration mainly from Hollywood films from the 1950s, with Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot, and Sophia Loren as her great examples. In her free time, she scours all the vintage shops in Amsterdam and she loves to sit by the fireplace at Plek with a cup of tea or a glass of bubbles. And as soon as she finishes her studies in Interior Styling and Lifestyle Journalism, she wants to fly around the world.
She doesn't find it important that a piece of clothing has a label. The pieces she buys are mainly vintage and it's a nice bonus if there's a beautiful Dolce & Gabbana suit among them. Her clothing is entirely focused on femininity and elegance. Makeup and perfume, on the other hand, is a totally different story; you naturally want to pull something beautiful out of your vintage bag in the ladies' room. Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, and Chanel are her favorites.
Oh yes, her outfit, that's what it's all about here. Stephanie is wearing a vintage lammy coat from Marbles Vintage, a checked capri pants from Mango, and a black turtleneck from Zara. The fact that her bag and boots match perfectly is pure coincidence. She scored both second-hand at the Waterlooplein and in the IJ-Hallen. The lovely earrings are from Hare Majesteit Boutique. Adeline, I know you're reading along and I know you're a sucker for red lipstick and even that is vintage. It's the 999, the very first lipstick from Dior.
Stephanie, one thing I would like to know from you. Where is your hairdresser?
