May I have a round of applause for
Emma Watson?
Sometimes you grow up with someone, but I didn't have that with her at all. I only met Emma Watson when I was forced to watch my first Harry Potter. Seal windows and doors hermetically and turn Harry Potter up really loud, such a story. And there was the intense smart-aleck Hermione. Love at first sight, that it was. In the movie The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, one of my favorites, she really shows her acting skills. That's where my secret girl crush on her began, because in another way pretty, she is that too.
But Emma, I can probably call her Emma, really went next level for me when she became an ambassador for the United Nations. She advocates for equal rights for him and her, but also for empowering women. And now that she is on the road for Beauty and the Beast, where she plays the role of Belle (just a few more nights until March 29), she is doing this in an eco-friendly way.
“This beautiful and intelligent creature
has not worn
mass production for years”
This beautiful and intelligent creature has not worn mass production for years. She also chooses items that are produced in a cruelty-free manner. And that this is not boring or dusty or somewhat sleepy, she shows on her latest Insta: The Press Tour. A messy three hundred eight thousand followers in I think about five minutes. This is how you saw Emma in London with a bustier and trousers from Carmen March finished off with the perfect Burberry pumps made of organic silk. In Paris, she showcased a faux leather jacket from Stella McCartney, with looks that many a leather jacket would be jealous of. But also a floral bustier with sash from Oscar de la Renta. I want that, a person can dream.
Emma is doing well. And I just want to give a ridiculously loud applause for that. This year she is taking a small sabbatical from acting to focus on her work as a UN ambassador. But no worries… You won't only see Beauty and the Beast, The Circle (the adaptation of one of my favorite books by Dave Eggers) is also coming to the cinema. So no Emmaloos year. Thank goodness, because I am crazy about all that feminine power.
