The Neverfull

Do you know my beach outfit theory? Your beach wardrobe deserves just as much attention as your regular daytime outfit. You have a lot less to work with, so what you have better be good. a good swimsuit is the foundation, and that's why you can also spend a little extra on those sandals. But your bag is key. And you see this bag on every beach. Luxury beaches, mind you, because this bag is a small investment, but you already knew that.

What is it?

A classic from Louis Vuitton (here I already wrote about the house's suitcase) that has been around for quite some years and has hung on the arm of every celebrity and fashion girl. The bag works for everyone, whether you have old money, new money, or are a rock chick. It blends with your style and exudes class and heritage.

How do you recognize it?

By its volume. It's called the Neverfull, and that's for a reason. A clever person can fill this bag up. It has two handles that you can easily carry over your shoulder, making it the perfect beach bag. Vuitton has many versions and collaborated a lot with artists Takashi Murakami, Yayoi Kusama, and Marc Jacobs. The Neverfull also comes in many variants, but my advice is to invest in the Damier or the classic LV monogram; always chic and stylish and never gets boring.

Tell me more, more, more.

Well, it's big and nowadays has a very nice little clutch that you can casually let hang on the outside, but of course, it's safer to put it in your bag. Put your keys and coins in it and the card for your hotel room. In the evening, you leave the Neverfull at home and take the clutch with you.

What I also like is that the outside has the LV pattern, and the inside has a subtle stripe in the same color scheme. For the much-needed variation.

How much does it cost?

A bit of Neverfull starts at €1,400, but there are plenty to be found on designer sites for a reasonable price. At Vuitton, the rule is: the older, the better. Just like with us, actually.
