NETFLIX WANTS MORE GILMORE GIRLS

What my life was complete when it turned out that Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino were bringing the Gilmore Girls back from the dust with A Year in the Life . It's just that I had something important at the office on the release Friday, otherwise I would have immediately gone binge-watching with the curtains closed. That's why I spent that weekend as if my social life didn't exist and locked myself in with Lorelai and Rory. And okay, my boyfriend could stay too. Within a day I was sitting on the couch saying what-the-fuck, because Rory pregnant? Hello, and what now? Well, I'm going to tell you. Okay, it's hearsay, but if you believe in bells, chimes, smoke, and fire, then this could mean good news.

Chief content officer Ted Sarandos, an important man within Netflix, wants the Gilmore Girls back. Hallelujah, so do we, come on, make it happen. In short, the return of the ladies from Stars Hollow was such a phenomenal success that a sequel must come. One problem. The producer and writer are still a bit GG-tired after a year and a half of writing and recording (read here for a moment the brilliant scripts that are possible). Ted, my good man, I say: send them on vacation and then get them to work, because we are starting to develop a chronic Gilmore shortage. The beginning is there, because if Netflix wants something, you really don't just say no. Fingers crossed.
