Adriana, what are you doing now?

Exactly three weeks ago, we were on the edge of our seats to admire, among other things, the runway debut of Dutchie Roosmarijn and the VS x Balmain love child front row during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show spectacle live from Shanghai. Not long after (after no less than 17 shows), we have to say goodbye to Alessandra Ambrosio. And although the hardest moment for Alessandra was saying goodbye to her fellow Angel friends Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge, and Candice Swanepoel, it now turns out that this girlsquad is being split in two and Alessandra is leaving the VS family anything but alone.

At least, if everything is as it seems. It all started with Adriana’s post on Instagram in which she indicates that she only wants to take off her clothes ’for a higher purpose’. Adriana shares with her over 11.5 million followers: ’Because of the image we as models portray, many women struggle with insecurity about their bodies. It is not mentally and physically healthy to live like this and I want to bring about change. I no longer take off my clothes for something empty.’ With this, Adriana seems to give a direct jab at VS, especially the fashion show where the models walk the runway one by one super tight and toned. And now that Adriana has also decided to unfollow other Angels including the official Victoria’s Secret account, you understand why we are already preparing for the next farewell party.
