The cleanest hotspot in Amsterdam

Shout-out to all the girlfriends I imaginary high-fived this morning during my rounds in the backyard. Good news for you and for the rest of Amsterdam who, like me, takes a walk in Vondelpark every day. We can keep gasping for air healthily, literally and figuratively. Only in our own little Central Park does the Amsterdammer breathe clean air.

The air in our capital may be getting a little cleaner, but the concentrations of fine particles and nitrogen dioxide are still relatively on the high side. As for the concentration, it is just below the European norm but above the (somewhat stricter) norm of the World Health Organization. Only on the forty-six hectares of Vondel does the value remain above the WHO limit. Look, yet another reason to dive into the park more often for some fresh air.
