Ping-ping, there it is again. The familiar sound accompanied by the name Adeline from Amayzine also shines on my screen this Friday morning. The question is, of course, what time my new article can be expected on the other side of the ocean. I am always ‘last minute‘, so a reminder every Friday is our tradition. I stare at the name Adeline for a moment. I let out a sigh. And not because I find it annoying that Adeline sends messages, but because I almost always have to send her annoying messages back. At least, annoying... They are mostly messages with excuses and promises that ’it is really coming‘ or messages about bad internet at the holiday destination. But this week I have to send her the same message as last week. I have nothing interesting in my photo roll and no idea what to write. Last week it was due to being sick, weak, and nauseous. And this week? I don't know. Because it's really not that I haven't experienced anything. There was the world-famous solar eclipse, we drank coffee and enjoyed Italian delicacies in Manhattan at Sant Ambroeus, I picked out a new summer dress from the racks among all the autumn collections, we swam in our new pool, sailed on the Hudson, and discovered new places in our neighborhood. But a photo of it? Uhm, no. Not even of the eclipse...
