Phoebe Philo leaving Céline?

A rumor is blowing through the halls of fashion houses. The rumors about a departure from the beloved fashion house Céline have been circulating for some time, but now Business of Fashion also reports that designer Phoebe Philo is ready to pass the baton after ten years, it seems to be true. Moreover, according to the fashion news source, the French LVMH is already busy with new applicants who could become creative director at the fashion house.

Céline does not want to confirm the rumors yet.
Céline was founded in 1945 by Céline Vipiana and was in the hands of fashion designer Michael Kors for seven years. After his departure, the French luxury brand weakened, until Philo's arrival. With a wealth of experience in designing classic it-bags for the French fashion house Chloé, LVMH knew right away that they had gold in their hands. Philo breathed new life into Céline with minimalist ready-to-wear collections and bags that every woman wanted to sling over her shoulder.

We are still waiting for an official announcement from the fashion house, but one thing is certain: Céline is losing a few golden hands.
